The Book Within the Books
Read the guidebook within the Fated Tales series that explains the in-universe origin of the fating, its history, and Q&A sent in by teens across Mutrien. This guidebook is often gifted to teenagers in the world as they approach adulthood. Nearly all of the main characters have read this book or been exposed to it.
One thing I tried to weave into the story was how this insta-love system works for different kinds of people, but not all scenarios come up naturally in the books, so I’m writing it all down here! Or, Glenn Writer is. You can imagine Glenn as an Agony Aunt or advice columnist figure.
Kariana Dragon Queen‘s Deleted Scene
One of my favorite scenes in Kariana Dragon Queen, the final book in the Fated Tales series, was cut from the book because the pacing didn’t suit where it needed to be placed in the book.
It features a quiet and vulnerable moment between Ember and Noor, where she admits that she isn’t sure if she wants to be queen.
